Tia brings many years of experience and a passion for service to others through a variety of experiences to Be Well Care Well and the Breastfeeding-Friendly Child Care Designation. In previous roles, she has taught undergraduate physical education, served as a lifeguard and swim team coach, worked in an emergency room, and supported breastfeeding families at WIC. Her direct work with child care programs began in her role as a health educator with ABC Quality, where she helped develop the state’s outdoor play and learning environments initiative, Grow Outdoors SC. Tia earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg, SC. She also holds a Masters of Science in Health and Physical Activity from the University of Pittsburgh.
